If you have the same passion for pattern and love of botanical prints that we do, London’s Fashion and Textile Museum has an exciting new exhibition of Josef Franks fabrics that starts on the 28th of January. Josef Frank (1885 – 1967) was born and grew up in Vienna where he studied architecture. It was only later on in 1933 that he emigrated to Sweden and began working with the Stockholm design company Svenskt Tenn. The strong botanical graphics and colours to his prints quickly gained him international recognition and despite these designs being over 70 years old, they are still used in contemporary interiors today. His influence also seen clearly in design adaptations from Anthropologie through to Liberty. Running until the the 7th of May…can’t wait!
